CLP Program Requirements

Requirements

1) General Admission Requirements To be admitted as a student to enroll in a course, you must have the following credentials:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

2) Certified Logistics Practitioner Requirements To be conferred with the CLP certificate, the candidate must demonstrate:

  • Having at least three years logistics experience that is verifiable to ILM.
  • Logistics proficiency in six accredited functional areas through ILM
  • Prior, non-accredited courses do not apply towards the CLP program

All CLP candidates must demonstrate proficiency in four (4) Core areas and complete two (2) courses from Elective areas.

*Hazardous Materials Compliance
Freight Claims Management

* Satisfactory completion of the Hazardous Materials Compliance Course simultaneously also meets all criteria for HAZMAT Training required by the United States Department of Transportation.
The maximum allowable time for completion of an ILM Course is 6 months unless the student requests an extension in writing, for Business or Personal Hardship. The maximum allowable time for completion of the Certified Logistics Practitioner program is three years.

Examinations

Students taking the Final Exam, are required to arrange for a local academic institution, i.e. a high school or community college, or the Human Resources Department of their employer, to proctor the Final Exam and return it to ILM.
